Peru strike hits Machu Picchu - Reuters

Leaders in developing countries around the world need to learn that when you nationalize and therefore start making poor people pay for services it's usually not going to be welcomed.

Sometimes for better or worse, nationalization is a necessary evil. However, haven't Latin American leaders learned that people don't like suddenly having to pay for WATER.

For a native of the Andes or Peruvian Amazon water is an essential natural resource which they are naturally entitled to.





Apr 14 (Reuters) - Road-blocking protesters in the southern Peruvian city of Cusco forced the suspension of train service and operators to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
